Job Responsibilities

  • Fully manage the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all aspects of Redhat Linux servers.
  • Maintain system inventories and ensure technical information’s are up to date.
  • Ensure system vulnerabilities are patched on a regular basis to meet Bank and MAS’s policies and regulatory audits.
  • Perform OS backup and recovery, capacity planning and performance tuning, account management, system hardening and OS patching.
  • Identify root causes and helping formulate and implement remediation plans, provide expert guidance and work with implementation teams on remediation.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports and communicate status updates and escalation to another technical team.
  • Work individually and/or as a key member in a leadership team.
  • Provide expert guidance and direction to the immediate supervisor.
  • Monitor performance of systems and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Develop and implement system security policies and scheduling maintenance.
  • Follow change management procedures and ensure proper testing and sign-off.
  • Conduct system performance monitoring and testing
  • Manage and produce documentation
  • Perform other duties as and when assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Science, Business IT or its equivalent with work experience in a Banking / Financial Services Environment administration
  • Min. 5 years of solid hands-on technical experience in installing the latest version of Redhat.
  • Certified in Redhat or Redhat Linux preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux including deployment, bash scripting, automation, OpenShift, HA cluster, disk volume management, system partitioning.
  • Experience with Automation tools such as Foreman and Ansible.
  • Knowledgeable in cloud-based system technologies and architecture such as Azure.
  • Experience in system monitoring tools such as Solarwinds.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with ability to provide quick resolution to problems.
  • Ability to work with Cross-Functional Teams when handling issues.
  • Ability to work on weekends due to changes made on systems can only be done on weekends to avoid disruption to day-to-day operations
