JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and solution design principles.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to design scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and testing teams, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration of requirements.
  • Drive process re-engineering initiatives, defining target operating models and recommending technology-enabled improvements.
  • Prepare and review project deliverables, including functional specifications, solution design documents, API specifications, and UML models.
  • Support project planning activities with PMO, including resource estimation, scheduling, and budget forecasting.
  • Coordinate system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring test coverage aligns with business requirements and technical design.
  • Assist in mid-term strategy formulation, contributing to technology roadmaps and solution optimization initiatives.
  • Provide Level 2 functional support, investigating and resolving complex issues in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.
     

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Finance & Banking.
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years working as a System Analyst or a role holding similar job responsibilities
  • Experience in Banking environment with exposure to Digital Channels. 
  • IT Banking systems experience required.
  • Knowledge in Agile / Waterfall Methodology will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with business process re-engineering and solution design.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results with these stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong ability to steer / influence positive outcome effectively. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Work on any other projects as assigned.
  • Able to manage lite projects independently.
