JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in the Asia Pacific region.  

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as Technical SME for Private Wealth system (FinIQ platform) and other banking systems (bespoke Backoffice systems and tools) as assigned.
  • Analyse, design, develop, customise, test, implement and maintenance of the assigned systems.
  • Work closely with the Tech Lead to gather requirements from users, perform technical impact analysis and estimate effort for development/customisation.
  • Prepare and/or update functional and technical documents, prepare test cases.
  • Develop, modify and customise the applications/platform according to requirements, work with and/or oversee other team members for the development where necessary.
  • Conduct peer source code/documentation review.
  • Perform unit test and system integration test, support user acceptance test.
  • Prepare release procedure and support production implementation.
  • Update user manual, system operational manual and other necessary deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot issues and problems, provide workarounds and/or work with the product vendor to resolve the issue where necessary.  Perform root cause analysis and come up with preventive measures.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent fields.
  • Min. 5 years of experience in software development using Microsoft technologies (.NET, SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS, Azure development).
  • Min. 3 years of experience with FinIQ platform for Private Wealth.
  • Good banking domain knowledge (especially on Private Wealth).
  • Experienced in working in a complex matrix organization.
  • Good knowledge in SDLC methodologies (waterfall).
  • Good presentation, communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to contribute individually and collaborate well in a team.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Ability to respond with speed and flexibility.
