As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within defined scope, budget, and timelines.
- Align project objectives with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, training, documentation, implementation, and post-deployment support.
- Ensure compliance with delivery methodologies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Provide clear, timely, and accurate updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor relationships to ensure accountability, quality deliverables, and effective contract negotiation.
- Mentor and guide project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and strong leadership across delivery teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of IT project management experience within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance frameworks, and both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams with proven leadership and influencing skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and drive consensus.
- Proven experience in vendor management, with a focus on negotiation and ensuring quality deliverables.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and manage competing priorities.
- Strong decision-making capability supported by sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
