As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, initiate, and drive IT offshoring projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential offshoring opportunities, develop strategy and detailed project plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the proper change management for the organisation
- Manage vendor selection process, including issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with offshore vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to keep key stakeholders informed about project status and updates.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Provide strategic planning and initiatives to optimize offshoring practices, enhance productivity, and drive cost savings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in offshoring and IT project management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT project manager, specifically in managing offshoring projects.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive project plans, manage budgets, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving project goals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing offshoring initiatives, driving efficiency, and cost savings.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
