As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, initiate, and drive IT offshoring projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential offshoring opportunities, develop strategy and detailed project plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the proper change management for the organisation
  • Manage vendor selection process, including issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with offshore vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to keep key stakeholders informed about project status and updates.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Provide strategic planning and initiatives to optimize offshoring practices, enhance productivity, and drive cost savings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in offshoring and IT project management.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT project manager, specifically in managing offshoring projects.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive project plans, manage budgets, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving project goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing offshoring initiatives, driving efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
