As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in the Asia Pacific region.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive and responsible for the conceptualization of the technical solution architecture base on project’s requirements and IT strategies. Participate in vendor/product/technology evaluation and selection for the solution proposal.  
  • Work with enterprise architects, systems SMEs and product vendors to ensure the proposed technical solution complied with enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines while meeting the project objectives. Act as a bridge between the enterprise architects and the project’s technical delivery team.
  • Create and update the technical documentation for the proposed solution architecture.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive the solution architecture process and approval.
  • Articulate and get buy-in for the technical solution from IT management and the enterprise technology/architecture board.
  • Undertake research and innovation to keep up to date with industry and technology trends.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or related discipline with min. 10 years of working experience in the financial industry
  • Min. 5 years in solution architecture roles and familiar with the system and project implementation lifecycle in a banking environment.
  • Experience in conceptualizing scalable, resilient technical architecture solution involving end to end integration between channels, systems, middleware, data warehouse etc. Experienced in architecting solution with integration to commercial off the shelf product and cloud solution are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in knowledge comprising system integration patterns, enterprise architecture, microservices architecture and cloud computing services. Knowledge in system and network infrastructure is an added advantage.   
  • Broad knowledge of Banking technologies and systems including industry development and trends. Familiar with DevOps, CI/CDs, containerization, and programming (Java and or Dot Net).
  • Having functional, operational knowledge in at least one of the following domains:
    • Payments
    • Customer onboarding & AML (Preferred)
    • Digital workflow
    • Data warehouse & analytics
  • Relevant certification in TOGAF and cloud solution architect or similar are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts and get buy in from management and stakeholders.
  • Analytical with problem solving mindset and attention to details.
