As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.

Responsibilities

Planning

  • Plan for design solutioning, testing and implementation activities with timelines and effort estimates with Delivery Manager.

Business & Technical Requirements

  • To discuss and work with business analyst to understand, analyse, validate user/business/system requirements to determine the project requirements.
  • Drive Technical/System requirements from abstract product vision all the way to detailed system / technical requirements in collaboration with solution architect.
  • System interactions for the process flows, event triggers, data handling, and user roles.

GAP & Fit Analysis

  • Perform functional impact analysis and risk assessment to examine and evaluate existing vs. to-be processes in collaboration with technical leads.
  • Fit-gap analysis on system functions.  

Functional Design

  • Design functional solutions based on user requirements and work with Technical Leads to determine and identify any technical constraints, technical design and limitations to the proposed solutions.
  • Leads and collaborates with cross-functional and technical teams for a seamless integrated solution.
  • Data mapping and transaction flow and error handling with collaboration with Technical leads.
  • Analyze the impact on existing systems and clarify the affected systems, screens, forms, batches, data items.
  • Organize data to be transferred to related systems and define I/F specifications and I/F layout.
  • Define the functional requirements of the system, including report types, data sources, and output formats.
  • Understand class diagrams and sequence diagrams, and examine naming conventions, relationship expressions, and consistency.

Non-functional Requirements

  • Predict future transaction rates and throughput for online and batch processing from past data.
  • Evaluate each server's hardware and software requirements and plan for scalability.
  • Analyze system traffic to assess network design, traffic calculations, and bandwidth needs.

Operational Requirements

  • Define key principles for operations and monitoring.
  • Organize SLAs and recommend appropriate backup, recovery, and maintenance.
  • Utilize tools to set operational schedules.

Documentation

  • Document functional specifications of the proposed solutions, conduct walkthrough and obtain user confirmation on the requirements and buy-in of the proposed solutions.
  • Obtain official sign off from user.

Requirement Traceability

  • Responsible for documenting final technical artefacts and ensuring complete traceability to original requirement.

System Configuration

  • Responsible for software configuration documentation and setup based on sign-off solution.  

System Testing

  • Support test activities by working in collaboration with Test manager, Test lead and Test Domain SME to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements and testing coverage.
  • Assist Test manager & Test Lead in integration test and user acceptance test.
  • Assist Test Manager during Defect triage to review, categorize, prioritize and assigning defects.
  • Work with technical leads ( or Vendor ) to determine the root cause of defects.

Implementation plan

  • Work in collaboration with all technical leads for all domains to include all systems ( integrated ) required setup including all system configurations and runbooks.

Migration Design & Data Mapping

  • Work with Technical Lead on migration design & data mapping are correct cross-domain.
  • Review with BA on all required reconciliations including both technical and functional.

User training

  • Prepare training materials, conduct user training and support to end users to ensure that they are able to effectively use systems.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior-level System Analyst experience in financial services, preferably in payments.
  • Strong domain expertise in corporate banking, cross-border payments, and payment system integrations.
  • Proven experience managing full SDLC including design, source code governance, testing coverage, and release cycles.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Track record of leading complex multi-team, multi-vendor technology projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to review and quality check deliverables (requirements definition documents, design documents, test specifications) to discover and correct deficiencies and errors
  • Knowledge of the technical configuration and integration methods of remittance systems (API integration, message formats, middleware, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of financial industry regulations and compliance, and understanding of unique quality and security requirements
