We are seeking a talented Domain Data Analyst who will bridge the gap between data analysis and business needs while ensuring the integrity and quality of our data.
Job Responsibilities
- Data Analysis:
- Proven experience in data analysis and delivery of a portfolio of data products (e.g, dashboards, reports, predictive models, data models).
- Analyze and interpret complex domain-specific data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, build, and implement data products
- Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Prepare cleanse and validate data to ensure consistency, accuracy and reliability for analysis and reporting
- Document system data flows, data model transformation and architecture, establish technical data dictionaries and access controls
- Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with business units to comprehend their data needs and deliver solutions that address those requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements
- Support project management tasks by providing data-related expertise and guidance.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with technology and business departments to ensure seamless data flow and access.
- Provide training and support to team members on best practices and tools
- Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field
- Min 8 years of experience in data analysis with a focus within finance domain.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data analysis and data modelling techniques
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with product management methodologies and agile development practices is a plus.
- Experience in Collibra is a plus
- Understanding of data stewardship principles and data governance frameworks.
- Knowledge in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting & Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, Capital / Profitability Management would be a plus.
- Certifications such as CDMP is a plus.
