Purpose of the Job:
Supporting business teams on tasks related to credit proposals and execution for ECB/loan and trade loan products for new/existing clients of SMBC GIFT City Branch in-line with bank policies.
Support on related post-sanction activities including covenant management, loan rollovers/renewals, etc.
Support on related front office team activities such as treasury/funding requests, KYC and other administrative activities of Gift City branch.
Scope and Dimension
Support business teams on credit applications/proposals and ancillary activities for corporate credit, FI and structured finance loan/trade facilities from GIFT City branch.
Interact and liaise with various internal teams such as Business, Credit, Legal, Operations, etc. of SMBC branches for execution of documentation and disbursement of loan facilities from GIFT City branch.
Handle post-sanction activities including loan monitoring, pipeline management, covenant registration and management, due date control, etc.
Participate in various events within GIFT City ecosystem and share with business teams to promote business of SMBC.
Job Requirements
Support business team on activities from preparation/initiation of credit proposals to execution of ECB and trade finance deals from GIFT City Branch while ensure adherence to bank policy.
Support business team to liaise with various internal teams for facility documentation
Perform necessary activities and liaise with operations team to ensure timely disbursement of loan facility from GIFT City branch.
Undertaken post-sanction activity including supporting deal pipeline management, monitoring/rollover/renewal of loans, covenant monitoring etc.
Interaction with credit monitoring department/HO and ensure strict compliance related to applicable policies & procedures to Gift City branch and local regulatory requirements.
Supports inter department activities, tracker maintenance, due date controls, etc.
Read & adhere to internal & external compliance requirements.
Support on related front office team activities such as treasury/funding, KYC and any other administrative matters of GIFT City branch.
Additional items related to the above task or as designated by the Team Head & GIFT City Branch Head from time to time.
Requisite Skillsets
Time management and prioritization of deals.
Ability to handle conflicting situations and multiple loan deals in parallel.
Collaborate and communicate with different departments for successful execution & delivery.
Strict compliance with all policies & procedures applicable to GIFT City branch.
Other Requirements
Knowledge of banking products and documentation matters, preferably ECB and trade finance. Having prior knowledge and experience in preparation of credit proposal and post-sanction activities.
Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
Banking experience of minimum 5-7 years, with strong understanding of financial concepts, economics and industry trends.
Qualifications include Post-graduate, with CA/MBA/CFA will be helpful.
