Scope and Dimension

  • Will be responsible for the review and assessment of credit risk and will seek approval from relevant authorities by preparing the analysis material.
  • Geographical / Functional Coverage – India, Credit Department (2nd line)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Independently review and assess diverse credit applications submitted by Business Units, providing objective and thorough evaluations.
  2. Prepare clear, concise executive summaries for submission to approval authorities, highlighting key credit risks and recommendations.
  3. Collaborate with senior credit officers to develop a deep understanding of legal documentation and proactively review term sheets and credit agreements.
  4. Support incumbent credit officers and senior management in credit evaluation, underwriting, and portfolio management activities.
  5. Develop and implement action plans to address credits showing signs of deterioration.
  6. Coordinate with Business units and ensure accurate recording and maintenance of deal details and credit monitoring data in internal system.
  7. Conduct periodic credit portfolio analysis across various parameters.
  8. Monitor credit exposure concentrations in large corporates and high-risk industries, working closely with relevant teams to manage concentration and sector risks.
  9. Engage with business units to enhance credit risk management and alignment with risk policies.
  10. Actively participate in team and departmental initiatives aimed at improving credit risk processes and operational efficiency

 

Requirements:
 

  1. Should have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  2. Credit analysis experience preferably in a credit approving or reviewing department
  3. Knowledge of Financial Institutions and NBFI sector; Corporates and Renewables Sector will be an added advantage.
  4. CA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.
  5. Additional professional qualifications for credit risk management will be an advantage.
  6. Preferably employed with a Global Bank currently.
