AVP Data Management Office (Data Analytics)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support data management activities including metadata management, data cataloging, and data lifecycle processes to ensure consistent and standardized data practices across domains.

2. Identify, analyze and resolve data quality issues through profiling, validation and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

3. Perform data preparation and transformation to ensure accurate, complete and reliable data for analytics and reporting.

4. Support data modelling and contribute to the development of purpose-specific data marts to meet business and regulatory requirements.

5. Develop and maintain related documentation eg frameworks, procedures & process, data dictionaries, lineage diagrams and project materials to support regulatory, audit and business needs.

6. Provide data operational support and guidance to users on data understanding, analytics enablement, tool usage and data requirements.

7. Support training program development and delivery, localize global materials, contribute to data culture communications and assist in talent development initiatives.

8. Assist in deploying and maintaining data tools eg Alteryx, Power BI etc and promote best practices in data management and analytics usage.

OTHERS

1. To perform other duties as assigned by the Management and HOD.

2. To relief or cover duties of staff members in the department in his/her absence.

3. Ensure timely escalation to Supervisor/Management in case of any issues.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Academic Qualification (Degree / Diploma etc.) / Professional Qualification / Certification

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or a related field.

Working Experience (Years / Type)

1. 4 to 6+ years of experience in data-related disciplines such as Data Governance, Data Management, Data Warehouse, Data Architecture, Data Analytics or Data Visualization.
2. Experience in data profiling, metadata management and data quality initiatives.
3. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in the banking sector.
4. Hands-on experience with data tools such as Collibra, Alteryx, Power BI, Informatica or similar tool.
5. Understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical and physical models) and experience supporting the development of data marts or data warehouses.
6. Experience in offshore or shared services environments is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

1. Solid understanding of the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) and its practical application in enterprise data environments.
2. Understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical models) and experience supporting the development of data marts or data warehouses.
3. Knowledge of data governance principles, including data ownership, stewardship and lineage.
4. Strong documentation, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and regions.
