- Conduct thorough investigations of suspected frauds, irregularities, and breaches of internal controls in compliance with RBI Master Directions on Fraud Risk Management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of vigilance policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with RBI circulars and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of investigations, prepare reports, and recommend appropriate disciplinary or legal action.
- Support the prevention and detection of corruption, malpractices, and unethical behavior through preventive vigilance measures.
- Regular review and assessment to ensure that the discretionary powers were not exercised arbitrarily and to identify and modify procedures or practices which provided scope for corruption.
- Conduct training and awareness programs for employees to strengthen fraud risk consciousness and vigilance culture.
- Assist in periodic risk assessments and audits of operational and branch processes to identify vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes, RBI circulars, and industry best practices in vigilance and fraud risk management.
- Support all other related activities of the Compliance function as directed by the Chief Compliance Officer”

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Law, or related field; advanced qualifications (CA, CS, MBA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in vigilance, fraud investigation, risk management, or compliance preferably in banking or financial services.
- Sound knowledge of RBI regulations, Master Directions on Fraud Risk Management, KYC/AML practices, and internal audit processes.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, ethical standards, and ability to handle confidential information.

Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of banking operations, credit appraisal, and operational risk.
- Expertise in fraud detection techniques, forensic analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with data analytics tools is desirable.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain objectivity.
