Scope and Dimension

  • Will be responsible for the review and assessment of credit risk and will seek approval from relevant authorities by preparing the analysis material.
  • Geographical / Functional Coverage – India, Credit Department (2nd line)
  • Direct/Indirect report – Nil
  • Initially, no approval authority will be given initially, but will be considered in future depending on performance and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  1. To review and assess several types of credit applications submitted from business units independently and neutrally. To make concise but adequate executive summary to seek approval from relevant authorities.
  2. Establish an adequate action plan for credits to be likely to deteriorate to minimize credit costs.
  3. Manage and maintain the accuracy of registration of deal details and credit monitoring in the internal system, and to instruct business units to modify data if necessary.
  4. Conduct credit portfolio analysis in terms of countries, corporate groups, industry commodity / segments, currency risks, internal grading, type of financial product, etc. from time to time.
  5. Monitor and proactively control credit exposures under large corporates and/or certain industries for increased concern on concentration and industry risks, in cooperation with other relevant teams / departments.
  6. Discuss with business units to improve credit risk management, if deemed necessary.

Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree; qualifications in corporate finance,financial analysis, credit risk management.

2. Experience in credit analysis / credit approval department offinancial institutions, rating agencies, etc.

3. Strong credit analysis and due diligence skills. Ability toprepare clear and concise credit recommendations.

4. Excellent organising and planning skills. Team playerattributes.

5. Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
