Analyst - Accounting Department

To perform the day-to-day accounting operations of the branch, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, and regulatory reporting, ensuring efficient and compliant accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform daily accounting operations, including data extraction, validation, and analysis from various banking and accounting systems to support financial reporting and operational requirements.
  • Review and verify accounting transactions, general ledger and sub-ledger balances to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, monthly, and periodic financial, management, and statistical reports for Head Office, regional offices, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to local authorities and regulatory agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct account reconciliations, including correspondent (Nostro) accounts and other balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding items for resolution.
  • Monitor accounting records and financial data to ensure data integrity and adherence to regulatory and internal control requirements.
  • Operate and utilize banking and accounting systems effectively to support accounting processes, reporting, and operational activities.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system enhancement initiatives, and process improvement projects related to accounting systems, regulatory reporting, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to address accounting, reporting, and reconciliation matters.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and ad hoc requests from management, Head Office, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Team Leader, Head of Department, or Management.

Requirements:

Education Level/certificates:

- Essential: University Degree on Accounting with accounting experiences at least 3 – 5 years

- Preferable: Relevant working experience on Banking/Tax

Experience and skills:

Essential: Good at English conversation and writing, computer literacy in EXCEL
