Assistant Vice President, Global Markets Operation Group - Derivatives Approver

      Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the overall operations and effective control of the group related transactions. 
  • Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions and resolve issues including customers’ complaints.
  • Introduce effective risk management control features and policies to minimize errors and clerical mistakes taking in consideration our Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Assist Group Head and Deputy Head in manpower planning and staff development for the group including staff appraisals.
  • Ensure group operates in accordance with local laws and regulations, Head Office policies and branch procedures
  • Govern and control activities offshored
  • Ensure prompt submission of statistical reports to local management, Head Office and MAS.
  • People Management
  • Take note of recommendations and/or comments made by MAS/External/Internal/Head Office auditors and make appropriate checks on implementations.
  • Ensure staffs are well versed with BCP procedures and processes to participate in regular BCP drills.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions, system failure, etc and resolve issues including handling stakeholder’s complaints and escalating all issues promptly

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Global Markets Operations
  • Possess critical thinking skills, and able to link diverse information to build a full picture and spot inconsistencies.
  • Meticulous, attention to detail with a risk and control mindset.
  • Good oral & written communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills
  • Reliable team player, who is able to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Keen and proactive learner.
  • Effective time management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet cut-off times.
