ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Be rotated in two different departments in the APAC region according to business need and labour shortages. Examples of the departments include global trade finance, corporate research and the corporate planning department, structured finance etc.
  • Flexibility with regards to working across multiple departments Support various areas of work in each department, following the instructions of the head of each department
  • Communicate with other departments in Singapore / Tokyo Head Office (HO) / other regional branches, and coordinate among them with regards to long term business structure, alliance, risk management and overall business plans
  • Gathering information, preparation of materials, and related information necessary according to the department assigned to for reports to management on a daily basis. All the information is related to business in APAC.
  • Handle ad-hoc request from the management and related departments
  • Arrange and manage overall regular meetings in the APAC region on a daily basis.
  • Collect and share useful information such as marketing insights or industry insights to educate departmental employees on industry trends in the region and for the benefit of aiding the company’s marketing activities.
  • Drive and lead initiatives across various areas of work. These areas include business promotion, enhancement of compliance and credit control

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business, Law, Marketing, Accounting and Finance
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in front office function within the banking industry required
  • Candidate with at least 2 years working experience using Japanese language in business setting is highly preferred as this role needs to prepare reports in Japanese and to communicate effectively with Tokyo Head Office
  • Candidates with working experience in Japanese companies are preferred but not essential as familiarity with the Japanese business customs is required to effectively communicate with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team player, as the applicant will be supporting senior staff members in various departments and/or areas of work, the applicant needs to work well with others to promote a cooperative and positive working environment.  
  • Good written/oral communication skills to coordinate among departments with different or conflicting interests.  
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, as the applicant will be stationed in multiple departments.
