Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring efficient execution of offshored processes, overseeing service level agreements, and quality standards:
    • Develop a robust transaction monitoring and reconciliation mechanism where adherence to service levels and outliers can be identified and resolved dynamically.
    • Lead collaboration and support to offshore teams.  
    • Manage operational incidents tracking, prompt issue resolution, root causes identification; Initiate thematic studies to eliminate incident reoccurrences.
    • Have foresight on changes to policies, procedures, and best practices; Design and deliver knowledge sharing sessions to Shared Service Centre.
    • Spearhead periodic procedure manual/standard operating procedure reviews with the end-to-end operating model in mind.
    • Proactively manage business continuity and operational resiliency planning and testing.
    • Identify risks associated with offshored processes, devise strategies to eliminate them and obtain Management buy-in.
    • Conduct periodic service level agreement reviews.
  • Managing and mitigating risks associated with financial transactions:
    • Oversee internal controls of offshored processes.
    • Ensure offshored processes are compliant with regulatory frameworks.
    • Lead department’s risk assessment activities.
    • Manage branch specific control activities in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Manage internal/external/regulatory audits in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Lead and initiate processes improvements to align with new regulatory requirements and/or changes to the internal risk control framework.
    • Provide oversight and subject matter expertise on AML and compliance matters.
    • Identify key risks associated with operational incidents; initiate fixing root causes to reduce incidents over time.
  • Accurate processing of various transactions adherence to banking regulations, policies, and service level agreements to maintain operational excellence:
    • Manage timely and accurate processing of transactions not offshored to Shared Service Centre. 
    • Manage exceptions in transactions and report irregularities to Management promptly.
    • Ensure preparation and submission of internal, Head Office and regulatory reports to relevant parties is done within allocated deadlines.  
    • Initiate process improvements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
    • Oversee preparation and management of productivity matrixes and capacity model.
  • Provide subject matter expertise towards projects initiatives.
  • Lead management reporting and data analytics initiatives in the department.
  • Initiate ideas towards digitization/paperless processing.
  • Assist and support corporate clients, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive customer experience:
    • Coordinate communication between Shared Service Centre and relevant stakeholders to efficiently address customer queries.
    • Devise a framework to monitor customer service standards and initiate continuous improvements.
    • Develop strategies to maintain customer service-related data and drive data analytics.
    • Contribute towards new product initiatives by reviewing product papers; provide expertise on process design and risk controls.  
  • Proactively manage people development, people engagement, job rotation and succession plans in the team.
