Job Description: 

 

Scope and Dimension:

  • Responsible for origination and building out a client portfolio for both corporate and financial institution clients, focusing on attracting deposits and selling liquidity products.
  • Being an advocate assisting Team Lead in maximizing Transaction Banking (TB) wallet shares from existing customers and assisting other RMs from a specialist perspective relating to TB solutions.
  • Assist Team Lead and Head of Department for assigned projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute a marketing plan to increase the level of deposits and transaction banking products undertaken by SMBC.
  • Work in close alignment with Global/Regional Relationship Management team and relevant products partners from build to execution/implementation processes of transaction banking products.
  • Manage risks associated to the businesses: KYC, Operation. Regulatory & compliance matters.
  • Coordinate with KYC/AML Team to obtain necessary legal documents from clients, ensure timely completion of Know-Your-Customer (KYC).
  • Ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently with a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Proactive in identifying client’s needs, consulting and providing necessary support and actions.
  • Assist to manage client relationship and attend to client’s enquiries, ensure those being responded timely & professionally and in line with the Bank’s service standards and policies.
  • Proactively participate in preparing, building, implementing the team’s strategy.

 

Other Tasks:

  • Administer all work and ensure compliance to all guidelines & procedures.
  • Attend to other administrative tasks, business reports, managerial preparation and any other specific projects/ tasks as to be assigned by Team Lead and Head of Department from time to time.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong education background with at least a Bachelor's Degree in related fields (Economics/ Finance/ Banking Degrees preferred)
  • Experienced in marketing and customer service.
  • Good work ethics and capacity to learn and adapt.
  • Good communication skills (writing and speaking) in English.

Years of Experience Required:

  • 7-10 years background and experience in Transaction Banking/Corporate Banking products and marketing.
  • Good understanding of liquidity products, deposit placement processing, transaction banking implementation.
  • Experience of developing and working with key stakeholder relationships within a business
  • High-level of accuracy and attention to detail
