Assistant Vice President / Vice President, Planning, Strategy and Internal Control

JOB SUMMARY

  1. Plan, collaborate with, and engage a broad range of stakeholders, including various departments within the Bank, Head Office, Regional Office, and external parties, to enhance and promote business strategies, activities, controls, policies, and procedures.
  2. Support superiors, supervisors and colleagues by proactively handling a wide range of matters, from administrative items to projects that impact Bank-wide initiatives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Implement and execute business strategies and necessary controls in cooperation with appropriate stakeholders.
  2. Undertake various periodical and ad-hoc reports in a timely manner.
  3. Closely monitor the latest regulatory requirement from time to time and manage speedily on various matters accordingly with holistic view.
  4. Develop and control relevant internal policies and procedures.
  5. Support bank-wide projects and initiatives related to the Bank’s business strategy and governance, in collaboration with various stakeholders including the Head Office, Regional Office, colleagues across the front, middle and back offices.
  6. Prepare progress reports and present to management on the status of regulatory fulfilment project.
  7. Prepare various materials, reports for management or Head Office.
  8. Proactively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues, drive improvement and further strengthen the Bank’s business and governance.
  9. Support internal department’s concerns and issues to further drive the Bank’s business.
  10. Support management accounting, operations planning, and data management, if necessary, with good understanding of the Bank’s actual operations workflows.
  11. Manage various matters under instruction by superiors and supervisors including Head of Planning Department.

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Academic Qualification (Degree / Diploma etc.) / Professional Qualification / Certification

  1. Degree holder in any related fields.

Working Experience (Years / Type)

  1. More than 3 years’ experience in financial institutions, especially in banking, is preferable.
  2. Preferably has experience in front or back office and project management for 3 years.

Special Skills Required

  1. Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, strong ownership, adaptability to change and passionate in new tasks/initiatives.
  2. Ability to collaborate with various internal departments and external stakeholders.
  3. Advance knowledge in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  4. Fluent in business level of English and Japanese are mandatory.
