Client Coverage & Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow relationships with large Thai corporates
  • Act as the primary coverage banker and trusted advisor, maintaining strong engagement with senior client stakeholders.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of client group structures, financials, and strategic priorities

Business Development & Origination

  • Drive revenue growth through corporate lending, syndicated loans, trade finance, transaction banking, and FX solutions.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across the client group to enhance wallet share.
  • Originate new relationships with target Thai corporates in line with SMBC’s sector focus.

Cross-Border & Regional Collaboration

  • Leverage SMBC’s regional and global network to support Thai corporates in overseas expansion, acquisitions, and cross-border financing.
  • Coordinate with regional offices and Head Office to deliver financing solutions.
  • Support collaboration between Thai corporates and SMBC’s international client base, where relevant.

Credit Analysis & Risk Management

  • Review credit applications, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and deal structuring.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including financial covenants and early warning indicators.
  • Maintain strong understanding of industry risks and client performance.

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with product partners (syndicated finance, trade finance, transaction banking, treasury, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Coordinate with risk, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure efficient deal execution and adherence to policies.

Market & Industry Coverage

  • Develop strong sector knowledge across key Thai industries (e.g., energy, infrastructure, industrials).
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to SMBC’s internal policies and local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and client confidentiality.

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in corporate banking.
  • Fluent in English with good computer literacy.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
