We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Data Governance Associate to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional to build a strong foundation in data governance and regulatory compliance in banking industry. 

As a Data Governance Associate, you will help develop and enforce data standards and practices across the organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders to support data accuracy, consistency, and value realization from enterprise data.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of data governance frameworks, policies, standards and tools
    Support data quality monitoring efforts and help resolve data inconsistencies or integrity issues.
  • Maintain and update data catalogs, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes, definitions, and data related decision.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure clear data definitions, classifications, and ownership.Participate in data lineage and impact analysis activities.
  • Track data governance metrics, prepare regular reports, and support audit and compliance processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management / Information Systems / Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduate or with 1 year of experience in a data-related role (including internships or academic projects).
  • Basic understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management principles.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Candidates taken courses or have academic exposure to topics such as Database Management Systems, Data Warehousing & ETL Concepts, Information Governance, Risk Management & Compliance, Banking Operations, BI tools are a plus
  • Experience with academic or personal projects involving data cleaning, analysis, and reporting are a plus
