Job Title: VP/Director FX Trader

Job Purpose

The individual will join FX and Rates trading team in SMBC Global Markets & Treasury Asia Pacific division (GMTAP) and be responsible for market making and risk management in FX products

Job Responsibilities

• To manage SMBC clients' transactions and hedge the position in interbank market
• To maximize SMBC clients' FX product transaction volume and revenue
• To enchance trading desk to provide top notch professional service to SMBC's clients
• To adhere all SMBC rules, regulations and compliance requirements
• Collect and update market information, provide insightful market comments to SMBC colleagues

Job Requirements

• Good bachelor degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or Commerce
• 5-10 years experience in FX, specializing in SGD and THB markets
• Good working knowledge of FX spot, forward and options
• Knowledge of onshore markets and regulations in APAC region
• Knowledge of Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Markets
• Good fundamental and technical market analytical skills
• Comfortable with data and model analysis
• Good team player with strong ethics
• Well read/interest in financial markets
