Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
- Build, lead, coach, and mentor a globally distributed team of integration specialists and system analysts.
- Establish strong engineering culture, accountability, and ownership across design, development, and delivery.
- Drive capability uplift, reducing reliance on vendors and strengthening in-house expertise.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for integration architecture across the payments landscape.
Integration Strategy, Architecture & Governance
- Define and own the target-state integration architecture for OBPM within the enterprise payments ecosystem.
- Establish standards, patterns, and governance frameworks across API, event-driven, file-based, and hybrid integrations.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
- Drive modernization of legacy integrations, reducing complexity and enabling scalable, future-proof designs.
Techno-Functional Leadership
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable and robust technical solutions.
- Act as a senior bridge across business, architecture, engineering, and vendors, ensuring alignment and execution integrity.
- Provide design authority and governance through architecture reviews, solution sign-offs, and risk assessments.
Engineering Oversight & Delivery Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end integration delivery, ensuring quality across design, build, testing, and deployment.
- Drive adoption of best practices in engineering, testing, and DevOps, including automation and production-equivalent testing.
- Lead code merge, release strategy, and phased/staggered rollout approaches to reduce delivery risk.
- Ensure robust error handling, resiliency, and observability across all integration flows.
Data, Documentation & Design Standards
- Enforce high standards in data modeling, integration documentation, and interface specifications.
- Ensure clarity, consistency, and reusability across artifacts (ISDs, sequence diagrams, data mappings).
- Establish end-to-end traceability and governance across systems and integrations.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Engage senior stakeholders across IT, Operations, Business, and Head Office to drive alignment and decisions.
- Influence vendors and internal teams to adopt target-state architecture and best practices.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to executive audiences, including risk, trade-offs, and impact analysis.
Requirements
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12–18+ years of experience in integration architecture, solution design, and engineering leadership within enterprise environments.
- Proven experience in leading distributed teams and managing large-scale, complex delivery programs.
Payments & Platform Expertise
- Strong experience with payments platforms, preferably Oracle Banking Payments (OBPM/OBPay).
- Deep understanding of payments processing, clearing, settlement, exception handling, and regulatory landscapes.
- Experience delivering in high-availability, mission-critical financial systems.
