Director, Loan Capital Market (LCMA) Origination

Job Responsibilities

• To cover transactions in South & South East Asia (SSEA) region, corporate and structured loans
• To lead origination, ideation, structuring and execution of transactions in responsible markets
• To develop close working relationships with front office, including RMs and with internal product partners, to increase cross-sell and collaboration in marketing for deals.
• To enhance presence and league table status of SMBC’s syndication franchise.
• To work closely with risk, credit, legal, and external investors to ensure smooth execution and successful syndication of transactions.
• To act as mentor to junior staff on the team

Job Requirement

• University degree required; MBA in Finance / chartered accountant / chartered financial analyst with 10-12 years of relevant experience in loan syndications, structured finance, investment banking, credit analysis, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of loan documentation, credit structuring, and syndication market practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and preparing investor materials.
• Ability to lead, work independently & collaboratively across internal teams & external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to details & meeting tight timelines. 
• Client-oriented with the ability and maturity to deal with a diverse clientele
• Highly motivated, independent and a strong team player
