JOB SUMMARY
- Plan, collaborate, and to align with various stakeholders with head office, regional office and locally for business strategies, controls, policies and procedures.
- Manage project that impact to Bank’s business or Bank’s wide fulfilment/initiatives.
- Handle query from Planning Department of other SMBC offices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and execute business strategies and necessary controls in cooperation with appropriate stakeholders.
- Undertake various periodical and ad-hoc reports in a timely manner.
- Closely monitor the latest regulatory requirement from time to time and manage speedily on various matters accordingly with holistic view.
- Develop and control on relevant internal policies and procedures e.g. new product policies.
- Lead project that impact to the Bank’s business or Bank’s wide fulfilment/initiative with various stakeholders (head office, regional office, colleagues from front, middle and back office) (e.g. LIBOR/KLIBOR transition, e-Invoice, SST, etc).
- Prepare progress reports and present to management and/or Board on the status of regulatory fulfilment project.
- Prepare various materials, reports for Senior Management, Management or Head Office.
- Sourcing and compile internal data to provide analytical reports as ad-hoc basis.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issue or for improvement and to further drive the Bank’s business and governance.
- Enhance Compliance and Governance related to organisation (e.g. segregation, matrix organisation, LIBOR).
- Data steward of Planning Department for data management fulfilment.
- Support internal department’s concerns and issues to further drive the Bank’s business.
- Support operations planning if necessary, with good understanding of the Bank’s actual operations workflows.
- Manage various matters under instruction by Head of Planning Department.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualification (Degree / Diploma etc.) / Professional Qualification / Certification
- Degree holder in any related fields.
Working Experience (Years / Type)
- At least 5 years experience in bank or financial institution.
- Preferably has experienced in front or back office and project management for 3 years.
Special Skills Required
- Well versed and experienced in banking operations.
- Good interpersonal and problem solving skills, strong ownership, adaptability to change and passionate in new tasks/initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with internal various departmental and external stakeholders.
- Advance knowledge in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English and Japanese.
