Expansionary headcount (Director level) for growing the property finance business in Asia Pacific. This person will work closely with the APAC team head to achieve the APAC property finance team's KPIs and also be required to manage transactions in close step with the relevant property finance deal teams (which could comprise of colleagues across different offices) from origination to deal closing. Some travel is to be expected.
Job responsibilities
- Support Group Head in growing the property finance business in Asia Pacific, including the development and implementation of new products.
- Support implementation of new initiatives for optimized use of the bank’s capital.
- Establish new client relationships to grow the bank’s real estate financing business.
- Strengthen and maintain existing client relationships to develop new business opportunities and potential collaborations.
- Lead and drive end-to-end deal execution from term sheet negotiation, structuring, credit approval and legal documentation.
- Lead credit applications, cash flow projections and property memos.
- Support Group Head in driving internal processes with credit, risk, legal and compliance, and operations departments.
- Perform monitoring and analysis of the property loan portfolio in Asia Pacific in timely manner and proactively manage high risk or non-performing loans and credit costs with monitoring team as well as credit and distribution departments.
Job requirements
- Degree in Finance, Real Estate or related field with 12 to 15 years of relevant working experience in the banking or real estate industry.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end execution of real estate lending and/or investments.
- Strong financial modeling and credit application / investment memo writing skills.
- Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
- Ability to work well within a team with minimal supervision and willingness to guide junior term members.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
