Director - Corporate Credit Risk, APAC Credit Department

Part of Credit Department in APAC region responsible for credit risks covering large corporates and institutions. This includes:
1) To review and assess various types of credit applications submitted from business units as 2nd line of defense.
2) To make appropriate credit decisions independently and neutrally which include evaluation, challenge, and recommendation/approval in relation to front office proposed deals, waivers, annual reviews, credit monitoring/grading, etc.
3) To establish an adequate action plan for credits likely to deteriorate to minimize credit costs.
4) To conduct credit portfolio analysis in terms of corporate groups, industry risks, commodity price, currency risks, ESG risk, internal grading, type of financial product, etc. from time to time.
5) To monitor and proactively control credit exposures under large corporates and/or certain sectors for increased concern on concentration and industry risks, in cooperation with other relevant teams / departments.
6) To discuss direction of potential deals with business units, ensuring compliance with the Bank’s risk policies, procedures, regulatory compliance standards and risk appetite.
7) Discuss within department and with business units to improve credit risk management, as deemed necessary.
8) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; preferably in accounting, finance or economics
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in credit analysis / credit approval department. Knowledge of financial modeling, LBO, PF lending, Structured Finance will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with strong command of English (both written and spoken)
- Solution oriented and ability to prepare clear and concise credit recmmendations
- Strong organization skills with multi-tasking ability.
- A team player and able to work under high volume in peak period
