Job Responsibilities

 

Deal Origination, Structuring and Execution

  • Lead the origination and structuring of bespoke and innovative credit solutions, drive transaction execution working together with internal stakeholders (Syndication, Credit risk, Legal and Compliance)
  • Design and structure transactions tailored to client and investor requirements, balancing risk, return, and regulatory considerations for leveraged and acquisition finance transactions.
  • Manage due diligence and internal approvals in tight timelines
  • Negotiate financing terms and documentation with clients, sponsors, and legal advisors.

 

Client and Investor Coverage

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial sponsors, asset managers, banks, and legal counsels.
  • Lead pitch efforts and prepare tailored client proposals
  • Identity and monitor market developments for new opportunities and investor sentiment across core markets and identify cross sell opportunities

 

Risk & Portfolio Management

  • Monitor performance of transactions and provide oversight on credit risk, counterparty exposure, and market movements.
  • Liaise with risk management and other control functions on transaction monitoring and early warning indicators.


Strategic and Regulatory Initiatives

  • Contribute to the development of new products, frameworks, and platforms for structured credit.
  • Keep abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes and apply to structured solutions accordingly.

 

Innovation and Thought Leadership

  • Oversight over (and manage directly if necessary) execution team in mandate process and managing client expectations (including troubleshooting) throughout deal execution phase and conduct post-closing deal reviews
  • Proactively seek for improvements in business efficiency and lead associated internal initiatives as well as conducting business, regulatory, policy or risk driven reporting
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and analysts, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and best practices.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • 9-12 years of direct experience in financing including leverage finance in Asia, gained from leading financial institutions
  • Strong interest in and understanding of credit, investment and financial analysis and their application in investment decisions and transaction structuring. Background may include experience in a major commercial bank or corporate/structured finance group of a leading international organisation
  • Solid sales and negotiation skills to a business level
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in financial modelling
  • Demonstrated ability to comply regulatory and internal policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex business/concepts clearly and effectively
  • Good fundamentals of business judgment, with a strong grasp on ethical and professional standards
  • Driven personality with the highest level of personal and professional integrity and work ethics
  • A collaborative team player who is also independent and self-motivated
  • Work to tight timeframes
