Director of IT Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute IT infrastructure strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Lead infrastructure projects ensuring timely delivery, within scope and budget.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to infrastructure teams, driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee design, implementation, and management of network systems, servers, storage, and cloud environments ensuring security and scalability.
  • Ensure availability, reliability, and security of IT infrastructure to meet business demands and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Manage change management processes and conduct IT risk assessments.

Performance Optimization

  • Regularly assess existing infrastructure for improvements, cost reductions, and performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with business units to align infrastructure services with evolving needs.
  • Optimize resource usage to minimize operational costs.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service providers meet performance standards.
  • Act as key contact for internal stakeholders to ensure infrastructure services meet business requirements.

Team Development and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing infrastructure team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment encouraging professional growth.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSE, Cisco, VCP, CISSP, ITIL Foundation, PMP, or equivalent project management) are preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT enterprise infrastructure, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure (servers, networking, storage, virtualization and database).
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale IT operations, projects, vendors and IT risk.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of IT governance, security, compliance and budget management.
