Director/Executive Director - Head of Rates and Currencies Investor Sales, Asia

The Asia Head of Rates and Currencies Investor Sales is responsible for driving the sales of macro cross-asset products to institutional investor clients. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, financial expertise and client relationship management to market and execute hedging and investment related cash and derivative transactions and to build long-term relationships to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
The successful applicant will join a growing dynamic close-knit team to build and market flow and non-flow macro products to Institutional Investors in the Asia Ex-Japan region, with a key focus on real money and hedge fund clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Sales Management responsibilities over designated team members to lead and drive to meet sales targets, supervise a sales team, manage day-to-day operations, and own product development responsibilities

Build and manage key coverage relationships with large institutional names

Grow Institutional macro business (focus on FX / Rates) with all key client segments including Central banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Insurance Companies, Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge funds and Private Wealth Clients.

Work closely with market making traders to market macro products and perform client servicing duties

Service and grow flow market share of electronic trading platforms in FX and rates including but not limited to FXConnect, FXGo, FXT, BidFX, Portware

Work with structurers and relationship managers to design trade ideas and solutions for institutional clients.

Develop and disseminate thought leadership ideas including trade ideas based on market movements by working closely with traders, economists, and strategists

Identify new opportunities for target client list and expand flow business with existing clients to meet demanding revenue targets.

Cooperate closely with internal stakeholders and related entities to find profit making initiatives.

Support banks’ principle of collaboration inter and intra departments to create value for clients and shareholders by increasing productivity.

Interact and coordinate effectively with various internal stakeholders on client management issues including risk, relationship management, onboarding, legal, compliance, settlement, and operations.

Keep abreast of regulations and have strong risk control practice to ensure self and team compliance with limits and regulations.
Job Requirements

More than 12 years of sales experience in flow and structured interest rates and FX products

Strong senior and working relationships in Asia with institutional clients including central banks, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers and especially hedge funds which is backed by proven consistent execution track record and positive feedback

Independent and motivated to deliver results while working in a collaborative environment. Good project management and coordination skills would be a pre-requisite

Leadership skills to inspire and groom a team to extract best performance

Solid market connection and intelligence to be plugged in to latest market trends, information, industry knowledge, product knowledge

Creative thinker to find solutions to challenges to enable to growth and new processes and framework

Experienced in documentation and onboarding process from front-office to back-office

Familiarity with electronic platforms including Bloomberg, FXGO, Reuters, FXT, FXConnect, BidFX, Portware, Markitwire

Good bachelor degree in Finance, economics, commerce or engineering
