Job Responsibilities

  • Solicit new business opportunities and enhance client base by providing value-added solutions
  • Manage and strengthen existing client relationships in Asia-ex-Japan by structuring bespoke solutions in partnership with the in-country global markets sales team & relationship managers.
  • Develop strategies to expand market share in derivatives products and to drive business growth in Asia-ex-Japan
  • As proactive team leader for the solution sales team, manage team responsibilities, foster collaboration and drive performance to achieve organizational goals.
  • Be on top of upcoming deals and ensure the pipeline remains strong
  • Work closely with group companies (SMBC Nikko Securities Fixed Income Sales & Trading) to drive future expansion of DCM / security linked derivatives

 

Job Requirements

  • 12 years+ of relevant sales experience in FICC derivatives
  • A solid understanding of corporate & financial institution client’s needs to structure solutions in collaboration with internal product partners that combine aspects of financing and hedging
  • Experience in dealing with Financial Sponsors for derivative transactions
  • Proven track record of originating and closing complex swap deals. Structuring experience especially on security side of the business will be a plus.
  • Possess analytical skills and excellent financial modelling ability
  • Ability to establish a strong network across industry, identify and understand client needs
  • People management skills: to inspire and motivate team members to help strengthen the solution business across Asia-ex-Japan
  • Thorough knowledge in regional regulatory structures and policies
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for trade modelling, Word, and PowerPoint for client presentations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent command of English language.
