Job Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to support both organic growth and broader business development of CM&S, in alignment with global and regional growth strategies as well as asset and portfolio allocation policies.
- Develop, refine, and implement CM&S business strategies in partnership with the group’s securities arm, ensuring consistent execution and alignment with overarching corporate objectives.
- Support senior management in evaluating new business opportunities, market entry strategies, and expansion initiatives, including product development and client coverage strategies.
- Act as a central coordination point to align regional initiatives, share best practices, and improve overall team effectiveness across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate closely with relevant Head Office functions and global relevant departments to enhance business performance across the APAC and East Asia regions, maximizing cross‑border synergies and overall team effectiveness.
- Conduct analysis to support strategic decision‑making and identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities within capital markets.
- Monitor business performance against strategic objectives, providing insights, and management reporting to senior stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, with substantial exposure to capital markets and front‑office or business management functions.
- Broad international experience across financial markets, with solid knowledge of Debt Capital Markets and related products.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, market structures, and regional dynamics within APAC and East Asia.
- Proven ability to analyse market data, financial information, and business performance to support strategic decision‑making.
- Proficiency in Japanese is preferred as this role needs to liaise with group companies and Head Office and communication is in Japanese language
- Knowledge of Japanese Banking Law is an advantage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across cultures and geographies.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and align diverse teams around common strategic objectives.
