The Executive Director of Credit Risk Management Group will be responsible for leading and developing a team focused on managing credit risk in the APAC region within a defined authority, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines, and contributing to the overall credit strategy of the organization in the region. 

 

Job Responsibilities

- Deliver proper and timely message to the senior management through regional credit portfolio reporting committee.

- Improve regional credit portfolio management tools and frameworks such as RAF and stress testing.

- Establish and/or strangthen credit risk management frameworks for new risks/products to support business expansion at loca, regional or branch level.

- Enhance group base risk management in the region, i.e SMBC Indonesia

- Deliver and manage multiple regulatory reporting including IFRS9 ECL. Establish and/or strengthen regional model govenance and data governance.

- Improve regional ESG related risk management (e.g. physical and transition risk stress testing and financed emission control)

- Enhance marketable products management framework such as Underwriting transaction, Counterparty credit risk, Securitisation, etc.

Enhance governance in key focus areas to meet regulatory requirements/expectations, such as model, data and ESG Risk.

​​​​​​​Liaise with HO risk management departments in Tokyo, such as CIPD, CPRMD

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of credit risk management professionals

 

Job Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Banking & Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in credit risk management.
  • Any risk management-related certification (eg. FRM, PRM, SCR) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
