Executive Director - Business Management, Bank Securities & Products

Job Responsibilites:

  • Integrated Bank and Securities Framework: develop and align activities to support strategic goals. Design robust solutions for compliance across entity structures with regards to Front Office client engagement as well as holistic product capability delivery.
  • Cross functional coordination: partner with relevant stakeholders and provide senior thought leadership, guidance and demonstrable knowledgeable of market practice to drive required outcomes.   
  • New Product Development: collaboration with business heads and relevant support departments to drive efficient and scalable new product deployment. This will include from bank products, use of special purpose vehicles and through to securities for client distribution. 
    • Focus on Bank Securities & Products which includes the integrated Bank Securities platform, Dual Hat framework and New Products process
  • Business management: formulate and lead the agenda for strategic planning & execution initiatives across Bank and Securities Platform.
  • Risk & controls: ensure all framework and change solutions are compliant with internal policies as well as regulatory requirements, including authoring relevant policies and manuals.
  • Operational Efficiency: Deployment and use of AI/Co-Pilot to optimize and streamline processes and solutions.
  • Thought Leadership: provide thought leadership to Co-COO heads across (1) Business Management and Planning and (2) Transformation, Data and Digitalization, (3) other areas including implementing strategic initiatives, strengthening risk and controls frameworks, and delivering measurable business outcomes across APAC.

 

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management; ACA, CPA or equivalent
  • 15+ years of experience in business management, risk and controls
  • Extensive experience in financial planning, governance, regulatory compliance and large-scale transformation across banking and securities
  • Strong Asia exposure, with active engagement across Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore
  • Familiar with key regulatory requirements (MAS, JFSA, HKMA/SFC, TMA, APRA), particularly on client consent and information barriers
  • Well versed in banking and securities products, including cross-sell and cross-entity initiatives
  • Sound judgment and decision-making in complex or ambiguous situations, with a balanced and long-term view
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, incorporating relevant inputs into decisions
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end initiatives and drive execution
  • Strong team management and collaboration capabilities
  • Excellent planning, prioritization and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Effective communication across functions; able to translate business needs into regulatory-compliant solutions
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on approach in establishing new processes, including coordination across departments and development of required documentation
  • High level of accountability, reliability and ownership
