Head of Human Resources

As a Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for leading the Bank’s overall human resources strategy and operations, including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and organizational development. You will serve as a strategic partner to Management by providing expert advice on human capital matters, driving HR initiatives that support business objectives, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, programs, and procedures across the organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Bank’s human resources strategies, policies, procedures, and programs to support organizational goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Management on a broad range of HR matters, including workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment and selection process to attract, acquire, and retain high-performing talent aligned with the Bank’s business requirements.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and employer branding initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Lead the performance management framework, including the annual performance evaluation process, goal-setting activities, performance calibration discussions, and employee development planning.
- Manage the annual compensation review, bonus allocation, promotion exercise, and other reward programs to ensure competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and monitoring of the annual personnel expense budget and provide regular personnel cost reporting and analysis to Management, Regional Office, and Head Office.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards by monitoring legislative developments and implementing necessary policy and procedural updates.
- Develop and implement learning and development programs that support employee growth, leadership development, and organizational capability-building initiatives.
- Lead the design and implementation of HR programs, projects, and initiatives while monitoring effectiveness and recommending enhancements as necessary.
- Oversee employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievance handling, investigations, conflict resolution, and employee counseling, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Manage organizational development initiatives, workforce planning activities, succession management, and change management programs to support the Bank’s long-term growth.
- Ensure effective HR governance through the timely submission of management reports, regulatory filings, regional reporting requirements, and audit-related documentation.
- Collaborate with Department Heads and Management in identifying workforce requirements and developing strategies to strengthen organizational capability and employee performance.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being across the organization.
- Lead, develop, and mentor HR team members while fostering a high-performing and service-oriented HR function.
- Drive process improvement, digital transformation, automation, and HR operational excellence initiatives to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report HR-related risks while implementing appropriate controls and mitigation measures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
What Sets You Apart
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Management, Behavioral Science, Law, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (MBA), Organizational Development, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive human resources experience, including a minimum of 8 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for multiple HR functions and organizational-wide HR strategy.
- Proven track record in leading and transforming human resources functions within complex, matrixed, and highly regulated organizations, preferably within the banking, financial services, or multinational corporate environment.
- Deep expertise in talent management, organizational development, succession planning, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, HR governance, and workforce transformation.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, employment regulations, compensation and benefits practices, corporate governance requirements, and regulatory compliance standards applicable to financial institutions.
- Demonstrated experience in advising executive management, Board Committees, and senior stakeholders on strategic human capital matters, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
- Extensive experience in leading annual performance management, salary review, promotion, succession planning, and executive talent management programs.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing HR budgets, headcount planning, personnel expense forecasting, and business case development for strategic HR initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead organizational transformation, cultural change, workforce modernization, and HR digitalization initiatives that support long-term business growth.
- Experience working with Regional and Head Office stakeholders in an international or multinational organization, including management reporting and implementation of global HR initiatives.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with senior executives, business leaders, regulators, industry groups, and external stakeholders.
- Proven capability in managing sensitive and complex employee relations matters, organizational restructuring, regulatory examinations, and crisis-related people issues.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate business objectives into effective people strategies.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment in handling highly confidential and sensitive matters.
- Experience leading high-performing HR teams, developing future leaders, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Recognition as a trusted advisor to senior management with a demonstrated ability to influence organizational direction and drive sustainable business outcomes through people strategies.
