As a Marketing Associate under the Japanese and Korean Corporate Banking Department, APD – Manila Group (JBAP‑MNLG), you will be responsible for supporting client management, KYC and onboarding, credit-related processes, and administrative operations for Japanese and Korean corporate clients. You will work closely with Business Promotion Officers (Relationship Managers), Compliance, Credit, Legal, and operations units to ensure seamless servicing and compliance with the Bank’s standards and regulatory requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage end‑to‑end KYC onboarding for new and existing corporate clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
- Maintain and update client records, documents, and entries in the e‑KYC database.
- Conduct periodic KYC reviews to ensure completeness, proper due diligence, and up‑to‑date risk assessments.
- Assess high‑risk clients (including PEPs), gather required documents, and escalate findings when necessary.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to obtain and update KYC requirements promptly.
- Understand client business operations to identify unusual activities and escalate suspicious transactions.
- Provide daily operational support for deposit and loan transactions in coordination with RMs and processing units.
- Prepare, draft, and coordinate documentation for approved credit facilities.
- Upload and track pre‑signing and post‑signing documents in the GBR system.
- Assist with legal documentation by coordinating with Legal, Credit, Loan Syndications, and other units.
- Safekeep and manage key documents such as financial statements, covenants, disclosures, notices, and internal approvals.
- Join RMs during annual client calls and site visits to strengthen client relations and understanding.
- Utilize T24 and other bank systems to support transaction processing and provide technical assistance to RMs.
- Review client financial statements and assist in preparing initial credit assessments.
- Support credit monitoring activities, including covenant checks, facility utilization tracking, and credit review schedules.
- Coordinate timely submission of credit documentation and internal reports.
- Provide overall support to the Unit Head and RMs in achieving financial and non‑financial goals.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials, proposals, presentations, and internal reports.
- Contribute to workflow, documentation, and process improvements within the department.
What Sets You Apart
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of basic financial analysis, credit concepts, and banking operations.
- Knowledge or experience with KYC/AML procedures, onboarding processes, or compliance is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse Japanese and Korean corporate clientele.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with T24 or banking systems is a plus.
- Highly detail‑oriented, analytical, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Prior experience in corporate banking, credit operations, KYC/compliance, or client servicing is preferred.
