As a Rewards and HR Operations Unit Head, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Bank’s compensation and benefits programs, payroll operations, employee records administration, HR systems, employee services, and HR operational governance. You will ensure the effective delivery of HR operations, compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, and continuous enhancement of HR processes and employee experience.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the administration and continuous improvement of the Bank's compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR operations programs.
  • Partner with the Department Head in developing and implementing human resources strategies, programs, policies, and procedures that support business objectives.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for both local and expatriate employees, including review and approval of payroll instructions and employee movement transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations through the review of withholding tax reconciliations, fringe benefit tax computations, year-end pre-annualization activities, and annual tax reporting requirements.
  • Manage employee records and HR data, ensuring timely and accurate maintenance of information within SuccessFactors and other HR systems.
  • Serve as the SuccessFactors administrator and oversee system governance, data integrity, user support, and process enhancements.
  • Lead the administration of employee benefits programs, including healthcare, group life insurance, retirement plans, leave administration, expatriate benefits, and other employee welfare initiatives.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for HR-related vendors and service providers, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, retirement trustees, consultants, and occupational health partners.
  • Oversee vendor contract management activities and ensure compliance with procurement and governance requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission of HR reports and regulatory requirements to management, government agencies, Regional Office, and Head Office.
  • Lead the management of employee relations, engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and other HR-driven activities aimed at fostering a positive employee experience.
  • Oversee clinic operations and employee health-related programs in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely processing of employee lifecycle transactions, including onboarding, employee movements, benefits administration, separation processing, and final pay release.
  • Coordinate with government agencies regarding statutory reporting, remittances, employee benefit applications, and labor-related compliance requirements.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, operational efficiency, and regional project initiatives to enhance HR service delivery and governance.
  • Promote a strong compliance culture by ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and report compliance risks associated with HR operations and implement appropriate controls and mitigation measures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members while ensuring continuity of operations and effective service delivery.
  • Serve as back-up support for critical HR functions and perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

 

What Sets You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Accountancy, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, payroll administration, HR operations, or related human resources functions, including people leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, payroll taxation, government-mandated benefits, expatriate administration, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience in managing compensation programs, employee benefits, payroll processes, employee records, and HR service delivery.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and technologies; experience with SuccessFactors is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, drive process improvements, and implement operational controls.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity.
