Job Responsibilities
- To maintain the bank’s asset and alibility profile in alignment with regulatory requirements, liquidity ratios and risk management guidelines
- To ensure effective balance sheet management to enhance financial profitability and optimise capital efficiency
- To monitor and manage interest rate risk, liquidity risk and capital adequacy to safeguard financial stability
- To develop precise predictive models and analytics to assess future performance of the bank’s asset and liability portfolio
- To utilise data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and mitigate potential financial risks
- To continuously enhance forecasting methodologies and stress testing to improve portfolio resilience
- To lead multiple projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, including Risk Management, Finance and Business Unis to strengthen ALM practices
- To drive innovation and process improvements in ALM frameworks, tools and reporting mechanisms
- To implement best practices and new initiatives to enhance balance sheet efficiency and profitability
- To ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory frameworks and industry best practices and work closely with risk and compliance teams to maintain robust ALM governance framework
- To oversee ALM activities across APAC branches and subsidiaries, ensuring consistency in quality, policies and practices
Job Requirements
- Degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years+ relevant experience in Assets Liability Management
- Experience working with APAC markets and regulatory framework is a plus
- Proven track record of managing ALM activities across multiple regions or entities
- Good knowledge of the financial markets
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong quantitative skill and proficiency in financial modelling, stress testing, scenario analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel VBA Skills
- Strong leadership capability with good interpersonal and relationship skill
- Strong understanding of risk governance and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in Japanese language is advantages as this role requires for regular communication with the head office in Japan.
