A highly skilled Platform Engineer with experience in financial institutions to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions. The candidate will have expertise in system virtualization, Nutanix hyper-converged technology, and a strong understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) setups. The role also requires expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, ensuring seamless integration and performance optimization across diverse platforms.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Design & Implementation:
    • Architect, deploy, and maintain virtualized environments using hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI).
    • Ensure platform stability, security, and performance across financial systems.
    • Manage and optimize Windows and Linux server environments for reliability and scalability.
  • High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
    • Design and manage HA and DR strategies to ensure business continuity.
    • Conduct regular failover testing, backup validation, and recovery exercises.
  • Solution Engineering & Optimization:
    • Evaluate current infrastructure and recommend improvements for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using modern tools.
  • Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Provide expert-level support for infrastructure-related incidents across Windows and Linux platforms.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve performance issues.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure systems adhere to financial industry regulations and best practices.
    • Implement security controls and perform risk assessments.

 

Job Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role within financial institutions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV).
    • Expertise in Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI).
    • Proficiency in high availability and disaster recovery setups.
    • Familiarity with enterprise backup solution, networking, storage, and security best practices.
    • Scripting/automation skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible are a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to design and present solutions to stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
