Senior Analyst, Anti Money Laundering

JOB SUMMARY  :

• Perform AML and Sanctions alert screening, fact-finding, investigation, and escalation of suspicious activities in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Lead assigned AML-related projects, including post-screening initiatives, process migration, insourcing activities, UAT support, and implementation of process enhancements.
• Analyze operational trends, identify productivity and quality improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions to management.
• Prepare management reports, perform reconciliations, support audit/compliance reviews, and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Risk & Compliance

• To exercise sound judgement and observe the highest degree of confidentiality and quality when screening transactions with compliance to applicable regime regulations i.e. OFAC, UNSC, local laws and regulations.
• Timely escalation and reporting of potential/actual breaches to the respective departments and branches.

Operations & Controls

• To perform end to end daily transaction screening by complying to internal controls/policies to ensure any AML / Sanctions potential breaches are arrest or mitigated.
• Provides day to day support and advice in the department for transactional activities.
• Ensure all defects are reported, complaints tracked with preventive and corrective action implemented.
• Work closely with other respective operations team to resolve any exceptions or queries.Proactively share new ideas and concepts to improve operations process.

Qualification :

• Good understanding of Banking Business.
• Good knowledge in Back Office Operation particularly transaction screening or payment screening.
• Basic PC skills (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• 3 to 5 years experiences in Banking and Finance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent ability with data/ numerical analysis (such as productivity report).
• Good inter-personal and communication skills.
• Good judgement skills.
