Develop and implement risk management strategies, including regional governance, as well as comprehensive risk management initiatives. Specifically, this includes
- Monitor changes in external environments, including macroeconomic and geopolitical risks, analyze their potential impacts on the bank, and develop appropriate response strategies, including timely update of the bank’s Risk Appetite.
- Identify significant changes in key business areas, such as new product introductions, analyze their impact on the bank, and propose necessary risk mitigation measures.
- Lead and oversee the comprehensive risk governance framework of the bank, including the coordination and management of risk committees, the preparation and presentation of risk management reports for senior leadership, and the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of risk management policies. This oversight extends to branches of the bank across the APAC region.
Job Responsibilities
Under the guidance and support of senior staff (VP+), collaborate with team members to carry out some of the tasks selected from the following:
- Management of the operations related to new product risk oversight within the bank. This includes consolidating risk analysis results from various specialized departments, conducting risk assessments, monitoring the progress of discussions, and preparing minutes for new product committee meetings.
- Facilitation and administration of various risk management meetings, including preparation of materials, coordination of meeting logistics, and documentation of minutes.
- Preparation of regular reports on the overall risk management status of the bank, including key indicators of Risk Appetite Framework, addressed to senior management. This involves aggregating
- Management and maintenance of various risk management regulations. This includes conducting periodic reviews and coordinating necessary revisions to regulations in response to changes in the risk management framework or external environment.
- Collection of information concerning macroeconomic conditions, political developments, and other relevant external factors, followed by consolidation of analysis results from each risk stripe accordingly.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent
- 2 - 4 years of banking experience in Enterprise Risk Management, or Operational Risk Management is essential
- Proactive self-starter with strong teamwork abilities and stakeholder management skills
- Team player, and able to multi-task under tight timelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
