Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, Australia this position is responsible for providing IT support services to SMBC’s Australian operations. This includes technical support, monitoring and daily administration for all systems and services; following IT policies and procedures to ensure the highest levels of end-user satisfaction and operational performance are maintained.

 

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Champion support services excellence across SMBC’s Australian operations.
  • Maintaining consistently high levels of service to the business and support the end-user desktop environment and mobile platforms.
  • Installation of system software and applications; assist with the release management of development changes into production systems.
  • Complete routine operational processes as scheduled; perform administration activities efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained and kept up to date
  • Conduct IT inventory audits and participate in IT related projects as required.
  • Prioritise service requests to ensure timely resolution of issues, track service requests and keep customers up to date with progress.
  • Effective communication with staff on IT issues to maintain end user satisfaction.

 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in support services roles within corporate environments.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Office products, particularly Office 365.
  • Administration of Active Directory and associated services.
  • Building and maintaining desktop hardware platforms and software installations.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with end users.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, clear and effective communication skills; strong documentation skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related IT/business discipline.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working in a multicultural environment.
