Key Responsibilities
- Process, check, and approve outward remittance transactions in accordance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards.
- Support daily operations of the Outward Remittance team and ensure transactions are processed accurately and within required turnaround times.
- Process foreign exchange transactions in accordance with customer instructions and approved FX arrangements.
- Perform end-of-day controls and support daily operational reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, repair items, rejected payments, and customer enquiries.
- Ensure compliance with BOT regulations, AML/CFT requirements, sanctions screening, and internal policies relating to cross-border payments.
- Escalate operational issues, incidents, and control concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Assist in training and coaching junior staff and provide guidance on operational procedures.
- Participate in system testing, UAT activities, process improvement initiatives, and remittance-related projects.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in outward remittance or cross-border payment operations.
- Good understanding of foreign exchange operations and payment processing.
- Solid knowledge of BOT regulations relating to remittance transactions.
- Working knowledge of AML/CFT requirements, sanctions screening, and compliance controls.
- Familiarity with SWIFT system and payment messages.
- Experience performing checker/approver responsibilities will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good English communication skills and ability to work with regional stakeholders.
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive transactions.
