Job Responsibilities

  • Execution & bookrunning: preparation for launch of syndicated loans including preparation of IMs, bank lists, invite letters; roadshow meeting schedule and logistics, roadshow presentation materials coordination of site visits, following up with banks and responding to/coordinating responses on Q&A;
  • Internal Approvals: preparation of syndication strategy liquidity analysis.
  • Preparation and presentation of underwriting papers for Underwriting committee
  • Pitching: preparation of pitches/presentations; particularly on formulating sales and distribution strategy through SMBC extensive global network, etc;
  • Market Update: Investors’ calls, meetings, update on current market trend and risk appetites, conduct soundings (when appropriate), etc;
  • Update and maintain database (pricing, liquidity, structure, etc.) of loan deals in Asia;
  • Ad-hoc report; and
  • Risk & Compliance: Attend to risk & compliance matters

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Legal/Finance/Science/ Maths
  • Minimally 8 years experience in financial/banking markets - preferably in Syndications & Corporate Banking
  • LCM/Syndicate/Distribution experience of at least 5 years
  • Relevant sales experience dealing face to face with end clients
  • Strong relationship with Asian bank and Non-bank participants in the loan markets
  • Possess good credit and structuring skills
  • Proficient in financial analysis
  • Good understanding of loan documentation and APLMA standards
  • Good understanding of APLMA transfer docs.
  • Proficient in working with software such as Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Pro-active, results driven and motivated individual and a team player
