Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the faculty lead for the Business & Banking Faculty, and provide oversight (on the quality, curriculum and course content), leadership (on the direction and priorities of programs) and resources assignment (to assign and identify in-house & external experts) on all programmes under the faculty
  • Responsible for the design, development and delivery of learning solutions in the area of business, risk and credit
  • Facilitate learning workshops such as introduction to banking (fundamentals of corporate banking), reading financial statements and fundamental credit analysis (techniques to assess a corporate client through tools financial analysis eg. using financial statements)
  • Partner with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver learning sessions
  • Identify and manage external learning vendors in delivering appropriate learning solutions 
  • Creates new training platforms/ framework/ contents/ delivery to facilitate the knowledge transfer in business, risk and credit relaed topics in SMBC
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning solutions and ensure quality, effectiveness and content relevancy to employees' needs and business' priorities


Requirements
 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in learning design, delivery and evaluation of solutions and programmes in a mid to large scale regional set-up, working experience in financial services industry will be highly preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years in the area of credit assessment, credit analysis, banking/ trade facilities or corporate banking
    Strong understanding of corporate banking products and services, credit risk assessment, lending procedures, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance so as to discuss related topics with internal stakeholders and external vendors
    Professionals in roles such as credit analyst or officer and corporate banker/ RM are welcome to apply
  • Experience in designing and implementing corporate-wide initiatives and diverse learning solutions to build sustainable and future-ready employees
  • Ability to perform analysis and identify metrics to track learning utilization and other relevant outcomes and impact
  • Experience in review of existing curriculum and initiatives to instill a self-directed learning culture
  • Possess strong analytical and project management skills to manage and execute organization-wide learning initiatives and programmes
  • Possess excellent facilitation and communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work as a team player with a can-do attitude
