The Regional Sales Manager responsible for the promotion of transaction banking products and services to Japanese multinationals across APAC to maximize relationship depth and revenue growth.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the growth of SMBC’s Transaction Banking business through the promotion of cash management solutions to Japanese corporate clients in APAC region.
  • Build and maintain relationship with Japanese corporate clients and anticipate their requirements through consultative selling to increase SMBC’s wallet share.
  • Interact with HQ in Japan and branches (RM and in-country sales), analyze TB opportunities, and strategize sales activities in collaboration.
  • Prepare presentation materials and proposals in both Japanese & English translation.
  • Internally coordinate with Product Development/Management for sharing client requirements/feedback and solutioning.
  • Submit reports (monthly reports, business trip reports, call reports, etc.)
  • Understand market trends / customer requirements and contribute to the bank’s product development / improvements and strategy making.

Requirements

  • At least 7-10 years of relevant experience 
  • Ability to interact with customer across all levels - working level to senior management.
  • Strong sales discipline including preparation of proposals, presentation materials of high quality.
  • Demonstrate effective cross-sell mindset and experience.
  • Regional transaction banking experience & knowledge and a network across key APAC markets is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English and Japanese both verbal and written are required as this individual will be dealing with Japanese clients
