Job Resposibilities

  • Be the global relationship Manager for a portfolio of clients comprising of Banks, Central banks and NBFI’s.
  • Strengthen the SMBC’s market position as one of the key go-to partner banks in Asia
  • Drive new relationship initiatives, including new partnerships, and originating new transactions across the client segment.
  • Leverage on the Bank’s platform, leading cross functional teams to drive deal execution.
  • Collaborate closely with product partners or senior managers in understanding client’s business and aligning the bank’s product offering, in client interactions.
  • Promote Financial institutions business across Transaction banking, Loan and Trade Finance Solutions, Global Markets, ECA & DFI business and deposit taking.
  • Monitor Market conditions, regulatory changes, country risk and relevant updates, and apply these insights in the client proposals.
  • Able to conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment to structure financial products like syndicated loans, Trade and Cash mgmt., DFI & ECA finance, Global markets etc
  • Adhere to policies and processes in place for the management of credit, operational, reputation and regulatory risks.

 

Job Requirements 

  • A bachelors degree in Accounting, banking & finance or equivalent in the similar field.
  • Atleast 6 yrs in managing the FI’s (Banks and Non banks) or corporates and 10 yrs overall with a bank in Singapore.
  • Experience of managing Banks & NBFI sector (Finance companies, Funds, Broker dealers, Insurance etc) across APAC markets
  • Experience of managing realtionships indendently and working knowledge of loans syndications, Transaction banking, Global Markets, Liability management  etc. 
  • Exposure to various products like long term derivatives and swaps, debt capital markets products, structured deposit products etc is desireable
  • Understanding of the regulatroy and compliance environment in the APAC markets
  • Proactive and a Team Player who has worked in large complex matrix set up
