This is a strategic role to develop a business strategy towards the relationships with the commodity traders who are subsidiaries of top-tier Western/Asian multinational corporates to generate mutually beneficial business opportunities for both customers and SMBC through financial solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Support RMs to develop relationships with the commodity trading subsidiary companies of top-tier Western/Asian multinational corporations.
- Manage and control the credit risk of clients towards potential financing, which would include annual reviews of the customer portfolio.
- Help our senior team members to establish business strategies towards our subsidiary banking business which would include coordinating with our colleagues within various countries, regularly updating our senior management on the progress.
- Support our team members through improving communications including with our Japanese staff.
- Act as our team representative in certain areas, such as in – compliance, collaborating with respective offices within the department.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Marketing, Accounting or Finance
- Knowledge of financial/managerial accounting and banking regulations within Asian countries
- At least 8 years’ experience in corporate banking, preferably withcommodities banking experience.
- Experience in managing top-tier Western/Asian Multinational corporations and living within Asian countries
- Excellent banking skills including credit analysis
- Ability to communicate with people of various backgrounds
- Experience in leading teams with other countries
