Vice President, Early Careers Recruitment and Program Management

Key Responsibilities

Attraction & Recruitment

  • Lead the development and implementation of SMBC Group’s Early Careers recruitment strategy for Singapore.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class social media and Early Careers branding initiatives.
  • Executing the branding, and engagement strategies, and leading University Relations for the region.
  • Define country recruiting strategies (attracting, sourcing, campaigns, university relations) and timelines to source for diverse early career talents.
  • Develop and implement early identification programs to create a robust pipeline into the Summer Internship program. Responsible for curating and executing the Summer Internship program and conversion of interns to full time analysts.
  • Advising on student feedback & market practices. Tailoring goto-market strategies and enhancing internship program accordingly.

 

Program Management

  • Single point of contact for the Analysts through their 18-months' program. Responsible for rotations, feedback, performance management, engagement and final placements.
  •  Agree with the business on the 18-months' learning journey and gather continuous feedback for refreshers and tweaks to the program as required.
  • Collaborate with the talent management teams to create Early Career development strategy from a regional lens to provide consistent program experience to analysts.
  • Work in partnership with the business and HR Business Partners to implement ROI measures demonstrating value of program hires.
  • Partner with Business and HR Partners to agree on specific program management strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Regional Program Managers to create a consistent program experience for analysts by business

 Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field 
  • Proven experience in early careers recruitment, including interns and graduates, across undergraduate and MBA levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability operate effectively within a matrix structure across all levels, internally and externally. Stakeholders and partners will include regional business leaders across all regions and in Japan, HR colleagues including HR Business Partners, Recruitment, Total Rewards, Talent and Learning & Development and external vendors and networking groups.
  • Creative thinker with experience designing and implementing attraction and assessment strategies aligned with business goals.
  • A change agent with an agile approach who has an ability to operate across regional lines, drive consensus and influence outcomes.
  • Results oriented professional who drives outcomes to successful conclusion in a timely manner.
  • Able to build trust, be credible and ‘hold their own’ at different levels, within and outside the organization.
  • Consultative style along with the determination and patience to achieve results.
  • Constructively critical with the desire to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles and ability to integrate them into recruitment strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as required and a solid understanding of the current recruitment landscape.
