Job Summary

  • A Business Development Specialist to lead the promotion and expansion of flow banking transactions, including FX, deposits, derivatives, trade finance, and bank guarantees, for non-Japanese corporate clients.
  • This role is focused on driving wallet share and revenue growth through close client engagement, while working in strong coordination with internal product teams.
  • In addition, the role will encourage and facilitate the proactive utilization of credit lines granted to clients.
  • The position is designated to complement existing product specialist by focusing on commercial origination and internal collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new flow banking opportunities across FX, deposits, derivatives, trade finance, bank guarantees, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with relationship managers to engage clients and position suitable product solutions that match their needs.
  • Serve as a commercial bridge between the client front and internal product teams, ensuring smooth and strategic alignment from opportunity identification to execution.
  • Promote the effective utilization of credit lines granted to clients, including idle or underutilized limits.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including product, credit, strategic planning, operations, compliance to deliver timely and customized solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze client transaction behavior and market trends to identify cross-selling opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments, industry practices, and competitor offerings in the flow banking space.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate banking, with exposure to transaction banking, derivatives, and trade-related products.
  • Commercial acumen and strong understanding of flow banking products, with demonstrated ability to translate client needs into actionable business.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and client engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross functional teams in a dynamic and regulated environment.
